CNN
As a producer for CNN Newsroom and CNN News Central, I built and managed rundowns, led writers and associate producers, and directed live breaking news from the control room. I wrote show opens, leads and teases, coordinated reporters and field teams around the world, and produced breakout segments with correspondents and analysts.
I was the lead writer in the control room during CNN’s breaking coverage of the July 2024 assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Working alongside the executive and line producers, I helped shape the coverage in real time as we verified new information, moved between live sources and guided the story through its first chaotic minutes.
As a writer for CNN News Central, I also wrote and produced this short daily digital and streaming news program called 5 Things with Kate Bolduan.
